Debt Advice Service

An exciting new service has been launched to help people with debt and money problems. If you are over 50 and need advice regarding debts we can help, the service is free and confidential. We can help with budgeting if you are having problems making ends meet and we can look at your income and check if there is any entitlement to any benefit or any way that your income can be maximised. We can offer advice at specialist level, we can help you look at the options available to you to deal with your debt situation, we can help you to contact your creditors, draft a financial statement listing all income and expenditure and make realistic affordable offers of repayment to your creditors. We can negotiate with your creditors on your behalf. We can also look into charitable applications to help with some debts eg water and fuel debts. I am an experienced advice worker, I have worked in advice work for 15 years, I have specialised in debt and welfare benefits. I have worked for citizens advice bureau for many years and I may be able to offer representation at county court and also benefit tribunals(dependant on availability). I am also a trained intermediary for the insolvency service and can make applications for debt relief orders. The advice service is supported by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales.
